Auto Mode
Auto Mode is designed for ease of use, allowing your smartphone camera taking all decisions for you. Everything is handled automatically, such as focus, exposure, white balance, and shutter speed.
Key Features:
  • Ease of Use: Perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a quick and hassle-free way to take pictures.
  • AI Enhancements: Modern smartphones such as HONOR 200 PRO uses AI to recognize scenes and optimize settings.
  • Flexibility: Ideal for common scenarios such as landscapes, portraits, and low-light photography.
  • Speed: Allows for quick shooting without worrying about technicalities.
Auto Mode is great for casual photographers or situations in which you need to capture a picture fast without thinking about adjustments.
Pro Mode
Pro Mode, also known as Manual Mode, gives full control over camera settings. It's a playground for photographers wanting to experiment and achieve specific creative results.
Key Features:
  • Manual Adjustments: Control settings like ISO, shutter speed, white balance, focus, and exposure compensation.
  • RAW Shooting: Many Pro Modes allow you to shoot in RAW format, enabling better post-processing flexibility.
  • Focus Peaking: A feature in some smartphones that highlights the in-focus areas for precise manual focus.
  • Long Exposure: Capture stunning light trails, silky waterfalls or astrophotography shots by controlling the shutter speed.
  • Custom Presets: Some devices let you save your favorite settings for quicker access during future shoots.
Pro Mode is ideal for photographers wanting to show their creativity or shoot in challenging lighting conditions.

My Take on Auto Mode vs. Pro Mode
Personally, I switch between both modes depending on the situation. Auto Mode is my go-to for capturing quick moments, especially when time is limited. However for creative shots such as night photography or shooting light trails, I use Pro Mode to bring my ideas to life.
